The NHBCUAA, a non-profit community-based organization, is the nation’s largest network of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) graduates. It unites local alumni associations with an outreach exceeding one million strong.

We serve as a vital conduit, assisting companies in their Diversity, Inclusion, and recruiting initiatives. Our core community programming focuses on critical areas such as Health & Wellness, Hunger, and Higher Education, directly impacting African American communities nationwide.

Our Results

Alumni Support

The NHBCUAA is committed to enhancing the value and perception of HBCUs. We demonstrate daily that HBCUs offer more than a rich history for Black individuals and people of color; our alumni are actively forging new paths, creating history in their careers, communities, and for future HBCU graduates. Our network fosters a powerful sense of identity and connection among members, within our communities, and for students across all academic disciplines.

Student Engagement

Expanding steadily since 2004, we now boast affiliate chapters in Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; and Philadelphia, PA. Each year, we proudly provide financial assistance and scholarships to HBCUs and their students. Furthermore, we actively host events and engage in college fairs, equipping aspiring students with the knowledge and tools needed to apply to and excel at our nation's HBCUs.

Community Outreach

We actively address the most pressing challenges facing African American communities by championing Health & Wellness, combating Hunger, and advancing Higher Education. Our auxiliary chapters are the bedrock of our local impact, building strong partnerships with community organizations. These alliances have blossomed into a vibrant calendar of events, from life-saving health fairs and critical food drives to empowering run/walks and essential fundraising efforts, all designed to uplift our neighborhoods.
